Cod Zombies Shadows Of Evil

Shadows Of Evil Map Layout - Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 Zombies by Treyarch Zombified, the Call Of Duty Secrets and Maps blog that creates maps for each of the zombie level layouts, along with weapon locations, parts for blue print tables, locations of perks and hidden easter eggs. The new engine looks beautiful at rendering the shadow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III brings back the fan-favorite Zombies mode with a new map: Shadows of Evil. Featuring a 'roaring '20s' setting and a star-studded cast that includes Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Ron Perlman and Neal McDonough, the new map is a lively affair.
It's also one of the most complex Zombies puzzles developer Treyarch has ever designed. On the surface, Zombies has always seemed fairly simple. Kill zombies until the round ends, then kill stronger zombies. You can buy guns using points you've earned, but like any zombie apocalypse, it's a war of attrition: as the rounds climb higher and the zombies get stronger, your ability to survive diminishes.

The thing that many people don't realize is there's more to Zombies than just killing a buttload of undead. There's a story for every map, provided you pay attention to the dialogue and follow the cues, both from that and from the clues scattered around the environment.
We're not going to walk you through every piece of the puzzle in Shadows of Evil, but here are some tips to give you a leg up. And if you've never played Zombies before, definitely read up on what it is right here. All the talk below assumes you have a working knowledge of how the mode is laid out.
Unleash the Beast
Scattered throughout the Shadows of Evil map are waist-high pedestals with purple fire spitting out the top of them. Interacting with one briefly turns you into the 'beast,' a many-tentacled monster that would be right at home in an H.P. Lovecraft story. While you can take out zombies in beast form, it's main use is as a tool for puzzle-solving.
Whenever you're the beast, certain things in the world glow with a red, fiery effect, which is an indicator that you can interact with them in some way. There are crates and walls that you can smash to pieces with your melee attack, anchor points that you can grapple yourself to (look up to find these) and power boxes that you can use your electric attack on to power up.
Some of the power boxes relate directly to the big Shadows of Evil puzzle, some open up access to parts of the map that are otherwise inaccessible and some feed juice to a nearby Perk-A-Cola machine. In past Zombies maps there's always been a central power source, but in Shadows of Evil you use beast form to power them individually.
Each player can transform into the beast once per round, so use it wisely.
Bug rounds
Every five or so rounds, the typical army of zombies is replaced by a swarm of large, ugly insects that spit yellow goo at you. This is analogous to the hellhound rounds of past Zombies maps. Survive to the end of the round and the last bug you kill drops a Max Ammo power-up.
For veterans of hellhounds showdowns, there's some good news: this is way easier. The bug flit around quickly and gunning them down isn't always easy, but staying alive isn't a problem. Just keep moving and their slow-moving gobs of goo will only rarely find their mark.
Breathe a sigh of relief when you get to a bug round. As soon as you wipe everything out, everyone gets a fresh load of ammo to gun down future zombies with.
Gobblegum and Divinium
What are these strange words? Gobblegum is a new take on Zombies perks. Each gumball — dispensed at random by Gobblegum machines for 500 points apiece — provides a little bit of assistance. They're not as powerful as the perks you get from Perk-A-Cola machines, but they provide helpful bonuses in very specific situations.
The 'Impatient' Gobblegum, for example, activates as soon as you get it and, if you happen to die, it respawns you toward the end of the round you die in as opposed to the beginning of the next one. The 'In Plain Sight' Gobblegum is manually activated and you get two uses for each gumball; turning it out causes all zombies to ignore you for 10 seconds.
There are 10 standard Gobblegums and 18 rare 'Mega' Gobblegums. Standard ones unlock over time; you start out with five and get more as your Zombies profile levels up. Mega Gobblegum is obtained by spending Divinium at Dr. Monty's Factory on the main Zombies menu. You have a chance of earning Divinium every time you spend points on wall weapons, doors/gates, traps or anything else.
To use Gobblegum, you'll first want to build a loadout with the pieces you want. You have five Gobblegum slots to fill, and whatever's in your loadout has a chance of dropping whenever you use a Gobblegum machine in Shadows of Evil. Note that while you have an unlimited number of standard Gobblegums, the Megas are always in limited supply (you can see how many you have of each on the loadout menu).
Fear the Margwa (but not too much)
The Margwa is a large, three-headed monster that spawns in alongside an army of zombies every 10 or so rounds. It's got a standard swipe attack that does normal zombie-level damage and a slam attack that can one-hit-kill any player (unless they have the Juggernog perk).
To kill the Margwa you have to destroy each of its heads. Each is only vulnerable when its mouth is open; just aim for the glowing yellow bits and you'll be fine. Taking out a head makes the Margwa angry, giving it an immediate speed boost.
Killing a Margwa causes it to drop a Margwa Heart, which is one of three parts needed to build the Wonder Weapon, one of the Shadows of Evil puzzles. The heart disappears if left untouched for too long, so be sure to grab it if you're working on the Wonder Weapon.
Skip rounds
When any Shadows of Evil match begins, if you look up to the fire escape above the area outside Easy Street (your starting location), you can see the Shadow Man. He's the one who's always talking to you about what's going on.
Here's the thing: if you shoot Shadow Man a few times, the match automatically jumps to round five. Do it again and you go to round 10. Do it yet again and you end up at round 15, at which point the Shadow Man disappears. Each time you skip a set of rounds, the game gives you a bunch of points. Go all the way to round 15 and you should have somewhere in the neighborhood of 16,000 points, more than enough to open every door.
Round 15 is very difficult to survive on when you have no perks and no weapons beyond the starting revolver and whatever wall weapons you can grab before the zombies spawn en masse. But there's still value to spending as many points as you can before getting your ass handed to you in round 15. Doing so nets you a good stockpile of XP, which levels up your profile.
Why is that important? Well..
Leveling up
New to Zombies in Black Ops III is persistent leveling that carries over between all Zombies matches. Leveling up unlocks new Gobblegum options as well as new weapons. You start every match with the basic revolver, but unlocking weapons in Zombies mode means you can earn XP for that gun whenever you use it.
Leveling up the gun unlocks attachments and scopes that you can equip so they're active whenever you pick up that particular weapon during a match. This is especially handy for wall weapons, since their location and availability is so predictable. Certain attachments, such as the damage-boosting Full Metal Jacket, can be game-changers.
Skipping to round 15 and spamming your way through as much map as you can gets you more XP early than you normally would starting at round one. You die more quickly, but it's very easy to leapfrog the first few levels of Zombies progression in this way. Once you have a decent wall weapon 'unlocked,' make a point of buying it whenever you play and using it so you can earn XP and add attachments that much sooner.
There's a lot more to Shadows of Evil that we didn't even touch on here. This is just a rundown of the map's basics and how they tweak the Zombies mode that you know from past Call of Duty games. There are tons of discussions out there running through how to solve the various puzzles if you want them.
We'd recommend you try to figure things out on your own first. Just listen to the dialogue, watch for clues in the environment and don't be afraid to screw up.
